03 Shark Poster 2

duunnn dunnn… duuuunnnn duun… duuunnnnnn dun

Sharks, these fish are known for their cartilaginous skeleton, gill slits and pectoral fins.  There are over 505 species according to the folks at Wikipedia.  Sharks range in size and ferocity.   They are not generally found in fresh water but there are always a few that like to bend the rules, you know who you are… Mr. Bull Shark and your River Shark friend.  We love collecting their teeth, as they have several rows and are replaced often.  The apex predators have a tendency to get most of the attention.  These superstars are the Great White, Tiger, Blue, Mako, and Hammerhead Sharks.  Photographers, authors and the film industry have tantalized our imaginations for years with fictional portrayals and mind blowing documentaries.

Explore the reefs and all the ocean depths.  Look through those rising waves as you enter the water, skim the ocean surface for fins, and softly whisper the Jaws theme music to your best friend once your waist deep – duunn dunnn…. duuunnnnn duun… duuunnnnnnn dun.

  1. Thank you Ms. Raincloud, lovely word indeed. They certainly do not keep me out of the ocean, but every now and then, I still get goosebumps and race for shore like a prepubescent boy… hehe
