Tide, a constant reminder that we cannot control everything, most importantly the sea.   The inner vitality of the sea world is affected by the gravitational forces set forth by the moon and the sun.  This creates the rise and fall of the tides, as if the sea itself could breath.   Tides will differ depending on your location.  Some areas experience two highs and two lows of equal value, others just one high and one low in a 24 hour period.  They may vary in degree and timescale depending on numerous environmental factors.

I have the fondest of memories off the coast of Maine exploring the ocean floor while the tide receded.  The pools left behind filled with sea life entertained me for hours.  Then watching in absolute awe as the tide forced its way back up the beach crashing onto the rocky shore.

The ocean and its tides cleanse the soul and rejuvenate the spirit.  Escape into the sea and allow for tide to wash over you as you create this week’s word!
