joojooOne day I remembered something, or rather someone from my childhood. I remembered seeing a herd of buffalos lead by an elephant. I wasn’t sure if it really was so or whether I had made up the story. For my amazement after a quick google -search I managed to find, that yes indeed, this memory was real. I really did see “Nzou” the elephant, who had become part of a buffalo herd after being left orphan. I was so excited of this memory, that as a tribute, I painted this 90 x 90 cm portrait of her on canvas.
