A body temperature over 100.4F is considered a fever.  We can check this various ways, but unless you are an infant lets not use the rectum.  The causes of the fever could ignite your creativity.  Trauma, injuries, medicines, or infections could all cause spikes in temperature.

Of course, I rarely work with a literal take on one of our monkey words. Let fever represent anything infectious, those things that you just can’t stop yourself from doing.  There was Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby, which became the basis of two films, the later starred Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Falon.

And who can forget the 70’s swag of John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever?  So turn the lights down, get that disco ball spinning, and draw Fever for Wednesday, April 23rd!
