The Side Bars were ignited with nonsensical, joyous commotion as the monkeys discussed their plans to herald in the New Year! However, Harold, the overzealous chimp with a fabulous receding hair line and divine comb-over, was truly disheartened. He had just discovered the plans were to herald in the New Year, a far cry from honoring himself, Harold, in the New Year.
Many of life’s noteworthy events have been herald to us through proclamations or announcements. You may be familiar with the Christmas carol “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”, published in 1739 by Charles Wesley. Declarations come in many forms, the first delicate snow flake herald’s the winter and a tree blossom may herald the spring. All over the world an infant’s cries herald’s their mothers. So allow me to shout from the Side Bar’s roof tops “Herald, Herald, is the word for Wednesday, December 4th”.
